A timer, stopwatch and Pomodoro in one

TimeBloom is a free online timer that runs entirely in your browser — no install, no sign-up. Set a countdown for cooking, workouts, study breaks or exams and it rings when the time is up. Switch tabs for a stopwatch with laps, or a Pomodoro timer that cycles focus and break sessions for you. The remaining time even shows in the browser tab, so you can keep working in another window.

Countdown timer

Tap a preset (1, 5, 10, 30 minutes…) or type hours, minutes and seconds, then press Start. A ring shows how much time is left, and an alarm sounds at zero. The timer is based on the real clock, so it stays accurate even if the tab is in the background. Turn on browser notifications to be alerted even when TimeBloom is not the active tab.

Pomodoro for focus

The Pomodoro technique breaks work into focused sessions (classically 25 minutes) separated by short breaks, with a longer break after a few rounds. Set your own focus, break and round lengths; TimeBloom moves through them automatically and signals each switch. It is a simple way to stay focused and avoid burnout.

Private and offline-friendly

Everything runs on your device. Your settings are saved locally so they are ready next time, and nothing is uploaded. Once the page has loaded it even keeps working without a connection.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will the alarm ring if I switch tabs?

Yes. The countdown uses the real clock, so it stays accurate in the background and the alarm sounds at zero. Enable notifications to also get a popup. Note: some phones mute background audio, so keep the tab open if you can.

Is it free?

Yes — completely free, with no sign-up and no limits.

What is the Pomodoro technique?

It is a focus method: work in fixed sessions (often 25 minutes) with short breaks in between and a longer break every few rounds. TimeBloom runs the cycle for you.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, yes — everything runs in your browser, so the timer keeps working without a connection.

Guide

Online timer, stopwatch and Pomodoro

TimeBloom combines three time tools in one page: a countdown timer with an alarm, a stopwatch with laps, and a Pomodoro focus timer. Everything runs in your browser and stays accurate even when the tab is in the background, because timing is based on real timestamps rather than ticking intervals that browsers throttle.

Countdown timer

Set hours, minutes and seconds or tap a preset, then start. A circular progress ring fills as time runs down and a Web-Audio alarm sounds at zero — no sound files to load. The remaining time also appears in the browser tab title, so you can watch it while working in another tab.

Stopwatch and laps

The stopwatch counts up from zero and records laps, which is handy for workouts, study sessions, cooking or timing anything that needs splits. Like the timer, it keeps counting accurately if you switch tabs or lock your screen.

Pomodoro focus timer

Pomodoro mode cycles automatically through focus sessions, short breaks and a longer break every few rounds — a simple, proven way to stay focused. Session lengths are configurable and your settings are saved in your browser. An optional notification and a best-effort screen wake-lock help you not miss the switch.

More FAQ

More questions

Will the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. TimeBloom is timestamp-based, so the countdown and stopwatch stay accurate even when the tab is in the background or your screen locks.

Does the alarm need a sound file?

No. The alarm is generated with the Web Audio API, so there is nothing extra to download and it works offline.

Can I get a notification when time is up?

Yes, if you allow notifications. TimeBloom can show a browser notification and tries to keep the screen awake during a session.

Are my settings saved?

Yes. Your preferences are stored locally in your browser, so they are remembered next time — nothing is uploaded.
